I wasn’t too sure what to expect – I’m visiting from out of town and I’m pretty picky when it comes to my massages. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and to be honest their prices seemed unreal! When I was online looking for a place (I had mainly been looking at the resort spas) they wanted almost $100 for 25 and this place only asked for $100 for 1 1/2 hours! UH YES PLEASE.

Hands down the best massage I’ve ever had and I’ve been to 5 star spas with massages starting at $300 – can’t even come close to the massage at touch of Asia. They do any combination of Swedish, deep tissue, Thai, and reflexology – PERFECT for sore muscles after a day on the mountain.

I loved my massage. I was a little skeptical at first as this was the only place that had last minute availability on President’s Day plus it didn’t look like anything special from the outside. However, the place was really clean and welcoming. I had a combination massage – deep tissue, hot stone and Swedish and I completely loved it. The pressure was exactly what I needed. I even extended the massage from 1 hour to 1 hour and a half.   I feel much more relaxed now. Highly recommend!

I consider myself a massage connoisseur and I must say, this was one of the best massages I have ever gotten…ever! Don’t be discouraged by the exterior of this place. It may seem underwhelming, but it def was not. This was a completely random find and I am so thankful for it! Super welcoming and friendly and most importantly, really clean. I was with my best friend and my husband and we all booked the combo reflexology and back massage after a long day of skiing and it was magical. Not only did they know EXACTLY where I was sore, but they integrate hot stones and stretches in that leave you feeling like you are walking on clouds. HIGHLY recommend going here! I wish I had found this place sooner and can’t wait to go back. I tried one other spa in South Tahoe in the downtown area of Heavenly and let me just say, you will spend twice the amount of money for 1/8th of the service and massage technique.
The only negative I would say: They do not accept American Express

  • Many people I know are afraid of getting Asian massaged because oo the myth there is some sort of sexual transaction.  This is not that! It’s only a great massage. I am a massage conosseur, and I appreciate a masseuse that talks to you and asks you how the pressure is etc. I also think the Asians have a much greater experience with massage. For example, they have no problem digging into your glutes whereas most American masseuses don’t do that. Also, great prices! I went 3 times while I was in Tahoe.

As a massage therapist I was surprised by this place.  The staff was very professional and it was very quiet. I chose to get a full body with reflexology on the table. The therapist got all my knots out and I walked out with a bounce in step. If your looking for a traditional deep tissue or Swedish this isn’t the place for you. The massage was more of a Tui Na style, which is a traditional Chinese medicine technique where the muscles are kneeded, tapped on, stretched, and some efflurage style strokes. Lots of compression. Totally awesome massage and look forward to going back!
